WEEK OF APRIL 20
This week is all on my website. NO Google Classroom You will have three writings to turn in as Google Docs this week. Tuesday-Friday you will be writing two paragraphs collaborating with a partner. One is and informational paragraph. One is an argumentative paragraph. Choose a friend. He/she does not have to be in your English class. Submit both names with your period, so I don't have to think too hard. If you don't have a person in your class to work with, you may work alone or collaborate with a family member. Thursday-Friday: You will be writing a argumentative/persuasive paragraph.
Study the ballad "One Tin Soldier." Analyze the meaning of the allegory. Write a paragraph with a thesis statement that states your opinion of the meaning. Support your opinion with three evidences, details, facts, quotes, and/or examples. Don't forget a concluding paragraph. |
Monday: Write a limerick. Go to Limerick on my website and all the complete instructions are there. Don't make it harder than it is.
Tuesday-Wednesday: You will be writing an informational paragraph based on research you will do on the Vietnam War protest times in the late 1960's and early 1970's. There are complete directions on my website under BALLAD. |
